Planting tips:
Well drained, nutrient rich soil required. Avoid dense clay soils. If you have large amount of clay in your garden bed you may need to dig deeper than the pot size the tree is currently in and replenish with free draining, nutrient rich soil. Raised garden beds with fresh introduced premium well draining soil is always great! We have fertiliser in each of our pots when sold, but also helps to boost your tree to fertilise again when re-potting or planting in your garden. We recommend a good quality slow release fertiliser such as Osmocote. Fertilise at least once a year. Particularly important to fertilise your Dragon Tree every 6-12months if being potted in a display pot long term. Even large Dragon Trees are quite happy in a display pot long term if you keep up the fertiliser.
